Updated certificate establishes a consistent institutional presentation with clearer membership and verification information
The Federal Money Services Business Association (FedMSB) today introduced its new Certificate of Membership design, establishing a refined and standardized format for FedMSB member certificates.
The redesigned certificate combines FedMSB’s navy-and-gold visual identity with a structured landscape layout, a central Association seal, a binary-globe watermark, and clearly organized member information. Each certificate displays the member’s legal name, FinCEN MSB registration number, location, effective date, valid-through date, and unique FedMSB Certificate ID.

“The new certificate is designed to communicate institutional identity with clarity, consistency, and restraint,” said Mr. Young, Chairman of FedMSB. “It provides members with a professional membership document while making essential certificate information easier to locate and review.”
The new format also includes references to the FinCEN MSB registration search resource and the FedMSB certificate-verification page. A controlled production standard governs the certificate’s page geometry, typography, colors, watermark, seal, verification references, and information placement. Only approved member-specific fields may change between certificates.
The FedMSB Certificate of Membership is a nongovernmental association membership document. It is not issued by FinCEN or any federal or state government agency and does not constitute a government license, regulatory approval, endorsement, or guarantee of compliance. Members remain independently responsible for all applicable registrations, licenses, renewals, and regulatory obligations.
The new certificate design becomes FedMSB’s standard member-certificate format effective September 1, 2026.
